Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ!
Lemmings
Why are people such dumb asses? The band Rev Theory is currently camped outside my house to visit their folks and get some beach time I guess.. Nice enough group of guys and they were very generous to give us some promo CDs and DVDs last year, etc. Not really my style of music and I usually detest anything even associated with the stupidity of the WWF, but alas different strokes for different folks..
The thing is people in my neighborhood are all excited because there's a "tour bus with famous people on it" on our block. Listen I can understand and appreciate when people are fans of a particular band or sound, but shouldn't that come from hearing the actual music?
The Saint is about two miles away and regularly has incredible live music from all over the world six nights a week. I never see any folks from my neighbor hood there..
Why do we need fancy wrapping paper in order to appreciate a gift.
There is incredible original music all over the place - especially the Jersey Shore. What will it take for people to know and appreciate what already in their own backyard?
You know you can take some nice ripe tomatoes, put 'em in a jar that says "all natural", put a fancy label on it and sell it at a premium, and in fact, some people would prefer to do that when they could have those same tomatoes straight off the vine. WTF???
