We are currently preparing for (and very stoked about) our first annual benefit called Operation ROCK at the Brighton Bar on Dec. 26th. There are many exciting musical guests joining us, the likes of which will be announced very soon, and room for several more if there is interest! The goal of this benefit is to offer soldiers from our area the new music that they crave by gathering all the cds/videos, merch, etc we can get by donation from our local bands, musicians and vendors - which makes THEM happy. And by doing so, we'll have gobs of new fans supporting the scene when our soldiers come back home, which makes US happy! They need fresh music and we all need fresh fans - it's totally a win/win! So...after 2 years of dreaming about this...it's all coming together very enthusiastically. So, if you would like to be a part of this momentous goodwill event - we welcome all kinds of contributions....especially CDs, Videos, Movies, Books, t-shirts, stickers, games, iTunes cards, calling cards, volunteer efforts at the show to play, take photos, interviews, free press/PR, brain-storming...anything...suggestions encouraged!!!! Our timeline is tight, so please don't delay! If you'd like to drop donated items off before the event, you may do so at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch anytime during biz hours. Greg (the owner) is super excited to be our partner in this amazing project! Feel free to email us here or on myspace for comments or more information. Terri and Sherri of the Management Team are spear-heading this project. Contact us please, we'd love to have all the Asbury Music Scene support we can get, and nobody rocks harder than you do!
Thanks so much, in advance, for your kick-ass support,
Terri, Sherri and the entire Operation ROCK organization
